Bejewelled stockings: the new accessory to have

The combination of a basic dress with statement-making accessories is the best option for any upcoming event to make a style statement. Having a pair of simple cocktail dresses is like having an all-purpose party wardrobe that can be used for weddings, galas or anything under the sun. And to accessorise it are shoes, handbags, and jewellery. But this spring has more to offer apart from the usual embellishment. The glittering stocking is the new fashion fad and have become one of the most chic demands. It is an ideal accessory for those who want to don short dresses in the months leading up to summer.

Chanel’s spectacular bejewelled stockings were showcased at Paris’ last Haute Couture Fashion Week, where the models’ long legs shone with the glittering of gems at knee-height. Also one can find low-cost alternatives in the lingerie collections of Wolford, Top Shop or the House of Holland.
